Ben Falle

Ben Falle is a 22 year old Perth-based drummer. He was born in 1985 and began his drumming life in 1996 through a school music program. During his formative years he gained diverse playing experiences in various school & community bands and music theatre productions. At age 16, Ben was accepted into University, studying at the prestigious West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where he received a Bachelor of Music - Jazz, majoring in performance. He has been a member of WAYJO (West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra) for 5 years and in that time performed with artists such as James Morrison, Joe Chindamo, Kate Cebrano, Daryl Somers, David Campbell, Rhonda Burchmore & Grace Knight and has had the privilege of performing under the direction of masters such as, the long-time Musical and Artistic Director of WAYJO Graeme Lyall, Ed Partyka of the 'Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra' and jazz legend Mr. Frank Foster, of The Count Basie Orchestra.
Ben currently performs with Perth-based jazz trio The Chris Foster Trio, nu-soul/rnb singer Natasha Mousuff, art orchestra The Johannes Luebbers Dectet and various other musical projects, and is a sought after teacher at The Drum Shop Academy, where he teaches regularly throughout the week. Ben has recorded on a handful of jazz, pop/rock and modern big band/art orchestra albums, and has recently been appointed Assistant Musical Director of WAYJO.
