Alex Deegan

 Alex Deegan began performing live at the age of 8 and throughout his career has toured, recorded and co-written with many artists both nationally and internationally. A musician of many talents, Alex is renowned for his powerful and compelling live performances. Regarded as a drummer of rare passion & intensity who is a driving force behind any band.

 Some of the artists Alex has recorded and performed with include: Lee Harding from Australian Idol, Belinda Emmett, Lee Charles, Deco, Simeon, Daughter Boy Jao, GirlFriday, The Hollow, Liam Wlhittle Campbell, Supernova, Nicole Shenko, Jack Jones, Marie Wilson, Eddie Parise {Baby Animals}, & OOK to name a few.

 Alex writes and performs his own compositions and has been a guest performer at various Music Festivals around Australia.

Currenty Alex & Producer/Guitarist David Carr {Kisschasy,Taxiride} are finalising production on the debut album of their new instrumental rock band "ANIM8", due for release in 2006.

 Some of Alex's achievements include:

  • 2006 Australian Platinum Number 1 Single for 5 weeks! "Wasabi" by Lee Harding featuring Alex Deegan on Drums.
  • Lee Harding's debut album "What's Wrong With This Picture" Released February 2006 including two tracks featuring Alex Deegan on Drums "Wasabi" and "L Is For Loser".
  • Writing and producing material for Paris-based international dance & illusion performers 'Mysteriaque'.
  • Guest artist on "Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend 2004" internationally released DVD - with 'Dom & Friends' including; Marco Minnemann, Steve Smith, Gregg Bissonette, and Chad Wakerman.
  • Featured artist on "Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend 2003" internationally released DVD, including two tracks from the forthcoming debut album"ANIM8".
  • Cover/Feature writer & regular contributor for internationally distributed magazine - 'DRUMSCENE MAGAZINE'.
  • National Clinic Tours for Premier Drums, Sabian Cymbals and Vater Drumsticks.
  • Member of the Drumtek School of Music. Teaching faculty-School of drums and Percussion. www.drumtek.com.au
  • Featured artist at "Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend Concert 1997".
  • Invitational endorsements with Premier Drums, Sabian Cymbals & Vater Drumsticks since 1995.
