John Zak
John Zak has been playing drums professionally for over
25 years. Beginning his career in Adelaide he was trained by
Jim Bailey in all modern and traditional styles and quickly
moved into the commercial scene playing in recording and cover
bands to capacity audiences. In 1984 he joined Led Zeppelin
touring act "The Zep Boys" and has since toured Australia
, Europe and America with a variety of acts ranging from new
age electronic to heavy and traditional styles. John now lives
in Melbourne, owns and operates a fully equipped digital recording
studio, writes and records original music, has two feature articles
in and writes for Drumscene magazine, has endorsements with
Premier drums, Sabian cymbals, Vater drumsticks, Roland V -
drums, and Musashi health foods and is in the middle of the
"Zeppelin flies again" project combining "The
Zep Boys" with symphony orchestras nationally and internationally
and the similar "Symphonic Pink Floyd" project. John
teaches beginners and advanced students specializing in commercial
music(everything from mainstream to heavy, including programming),
most forms of technique development (including double bass drums)
and career motivation.

Bonnet, The Party boys, Glen Shorrock, Shirley Strachan and
Skyhooks, John Swann, Angry Anderson, Russel Morris, Flame trees,
Scat, Jim Keays, Altar, SSS, The Internationals, The Mega boys,
Ross Wilson and performances at "The ultimate drummers
weekend" The best annual drums and percussion expo in the
southern hemisphere.
