Nasrine Rahmani

Nasrine Rahmani is an Australian born Mauritian/Iranian and a multifaceted percussionist. Her commitment to original music in Melbourne is evident through hundreds of appearances she has made with bands such as San Lazaro, Tumbarumba & the Oxo Cubans.

Since completing a B.A. MUS  (Improvisation) at the VCA she has traveled and studied extensively overseas and this year has returned from her second voyage of intensive study in Cuba. She is fluent on the congas, timbales, Brazilian percussion and plays with a strength & passion that is well worth seeing and maturity well beyond her years.
