Damian Corniola

Having been influenced by many international drumming legends during his life, Damian Corniola has successfully welded their drumset wizardry into his own individual, powerful and eclectic genre, which translates into his influential performance and teaching styles.

From a young age, Damian's obsession with drumming led him to win Australia’s Best Up & Coming Drummer Competition. He still holds the record of being the youngest drummer in OZ to win the open competition at the age of 16, and all three prestigious national categories.

In 2013, Damian recorded with world renowned solo guitarist, Glenn Proudfoot, releasing an album titled "Animal" performed as a power trio. 

Damian also established his own band that year, "Atomic Clock" performing monthly gigs at the notable Bennetts Lane Jazz Club in Melbourne.

Damian was invited to perform a series of drum clinics at the inaugural PAS – National Drum & Percussion Camp at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide in 2014.

Damian performed internationally in 2015, at the KOSA Music Festival's 20th Anniversary, at Castleton State College, in Vermont, USA. He held multiple inspiring Masterclasses and several dynamic live performances.  

Having recently joined the legendary 1970ʼs Australian rock band TASTE, Damian recorded their latest studio album titled "Life On Earth" followed by the albums launch and a National tour. 

He's commonly known to inspire the youth with his successful series of annual drum camps held throughout Australia. Damian also aims to positively influence both intermediate and advanced drummers through several Masterclasses held annually at Drumtek in Melbourne, Australia, where he has been part of the teaching faculty for the past 10 years.
