Jake Ryan 

Jake is a young upcoming freelance drummer born in Melbourne. He has already had a glimpse of the international music scene, whilst touring with the Blackburn High Orchestra, travelling to Chicago, LA, Washington DC, and NYC. Locally, he has played at Hisense Arena for the Victorian State School Spectacular in front of 10,000 people, at various clubs such as the Paris Cat with Jess Fairlie, and currently maintains private drum tuition in his home studio. Jake has been mentored by numerous prolific artists, including Johnny Salerno, Andrew Fisenden, Tony Floyd, and Tony Priest. Some of his influences include: Benny Greb, Justin Scott, Aaron Spears, Nate Smith, and Juan Carlito Mendoza. Playing with bassist Che Ioannou-Booth and pianist James Heaney, in combination with a hybrid acoustic kit, he aims to bring a funk-inspired electronic set to the AUDW stage.

 Jake will make his debut performance at this year’s AUDW at 1:40pm on Saturday 25^th August
