4mm Phenolic Shell

Borrowing from Pearl's storied origins of drum manufacturing, Phenolic shells were designed for superior consistency, finer note articulation, increased power, and greater resistance to changes in climate compared to the traditional wood shells of the era. This Anniversary Edition snare drum captures the sound and power that made the President Series such a popular design amongst drummers.

SR-017 Strainer

For effortless switching and unparalleled control over sensitivity, this quick, simple strainer employs a SR-150E Cast Butt Plate to keep your wire settings secure while you perform.

Internal Muffler

With a robust tension dial and multi-layered felt dampening pad, the IM-100PHC Internal Muffler allows you to find the perfect amount of decay by allowing head contact under the batter - anywhere from the lightest touch, to full contact for a vast range of tonal possibilities.

Recast from Pearl's original "Battleship" lugs, these refined lugs deliver the commanding attack of the original.
