The HeadHunters ORB-X series mallets are specifically designed for drummers. Unlike traditonal wool mallets which can fray and unravel, the ORB-X uses a compressed foam-like material which holds its shape and articulation. It is also well suited for intricate rhythmic patterns, where solid felt mallets can feel too hard and heavy.
The ORB-X-35B features a 35mm black head, giving a good balance of attack and soft contact sound. It is the most versatile of the ORB-X range.
