The HeadHunters ORB-X series mallets are specifically designed for drummers. Unlike traditonal wool mallets which can fray and unravel, the ORB-X uses a compressed foam-like material which holds its shape and articulation. It is also well suited for intricate rhythmic patterns, where solid felt mallets can feel too hard and heavy.
The ORB-X-45W features a 45mm white head, the largest in the range. This is perfect for when you need that extra bit of projection and presence.
